Teaching Courses

In each year of your undergraduate experience with the aggieTEACH Program, you will be taking courses that engage you in both classroom and field-based experiences.  Each of these courses and experiences will contribute to your understanding about teaching, the development of young people, and the professional responsibilities of an educator.

It is important that you take these courses in the appropriate sequence as each builds on the previous to complete your knowledge base and experiences toward becoming a teacher.

We believe strongly that our careful attention to your development as an educator through hands-on, field-based, and student-centered experiences will not only encourage you to consider teaching as an option but prepare you to be a excellent teacher!

You can learn more about some of the courses that you will be taking as a aggieTEACH student by clicking on the links to the left.

"The aggieTEACH program is a program that allows students who are interested in math or science to get a feel for what it is like to be a teacher early on in their college career.  Through observation in their first semester at A&M they quickly learn whether or not teaching is something that appeals to them.  After your freshman year, the program continues to guide students through their education to insure that they will have the knowledge and classes that allow them to make a great teacher.”
