TEFB 406 and 407/SCEN 489
Science and Mathematics in the Middle and Secondary School

This course should be taken during the fall semester as near to the student teaching semester as possible and only after TEFB 201 (SCEN 289), INST 310, TEFB 322 (EDCI 489) and TEFB 324 have been completed (concurrent enrollment with TEFB 324 is possible with approval of MASS advisor). 

These courses are designed for the prospective secondary teacher in science or mathematics. Courses will cover implementation of contemporary science and mathematics curriculum, content, materials, and methodology.  

Science majors will take TEFB 406. Math majors will take TEFB 407 (SCEN 489).

It should be noted that this course is requires 30 + hours of field experience in local schools. Students should plan accordingly.

  • Class meets regularly on campus
